About the Author

Ray BrankLine

Ray Brankline’s journey from the streets of Passaic, New Jersey, to the pages of deeply human fiction began in the icy isolation of Alaska. While serving in the U.S. Air Force at remote outposts like Point Barrow and St. Lawrence Island, he found solace and inspiration in books, most notably Martin Eden by Jack London, a novel that would ignite his passion for literature and change his life’s course.

After completing his military service, Ray planted roots in Sacramento, California, where he earned degrees in philosophy and English literature from Sacramento State University. His first book, Alone or with Others, was born from his master’s thesis. Love at Third Sight, his latest work, blends humor, romance, and introspection into a powerful narrative about connection and emotional survival.

Beyond writing, Ray is a devoted painter, singer, and musician. He spends his days creating in his home studio alongside his wife, Marta, and their two curious cats, Quimby and Flora.

Chase Dreams, Confront Identity, And Survive Love's Beautiful Wreckage

In Love at Third Sight, Ray Brankline invites readers into the electric collision of Paul Leone, a swaggering dreamer from New Jersey, and Rebecca O’Leary, a volatile yet brilliant misfit battling inner chaos. Set in 1960s Sacramento, this literary romance shimmers with wit, conflict, and lyrical prose.

Their love begins not with sparks, but with insults, awkward silences, and unexpected tenderness. As Paul chases stardom and Rebecca struggles with identity and emotional fragility, readers are drawn into a love story as unpredictable as the human heart itself.
